A space of respite
Ronald McDonald House Whānau Rooms give families a calm, medical-free space within the hospital walls when their child is in hospital. During long days of tests and treatment, they offer a safe place to play, do a load of laundry, grab a bite to eat, freshen up, or simply pause.
There are 3 Whānau Rooms across Aotearoa, each located within the hospital and just steps away from a paediatric or intensive care unit. The Whānau Rooms are warm and welcoming spaces for families to rest while staying close to their child’s treatment.
